Recommended Reading and Listening

Hi, welcome to my bookstore.

I regularly lend books to my clients and students and frequently they decide to buy their own copies. So I’ve decided to add this page to my website so that I can let you know about helpful books or recordings that I would recommend. To make it easier for you, I have linked directly to Amazon so you don’t even need to leave this page in order to buy the book or recording of your choice. Simply hover your curser over the thumbnail and you will see the BUY NOW button. Alternatively, just click the thumbnail and you will be taken straight to the Amazon page.

This month’s recommendation:

Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself: How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One by Dr. Joe Dispenza

The Science of Change.
In Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, author Dr. Joe Dispenza combines the fields of quantum physics, neuroscience, brain chemistry, biology, and genetics to offer you possibilities in a very easy-to-read format. Not only does the book give you the necessary knowledge to change any aspect of yourself, Dr Joe also offers you the step-by-step tools to apply what you learn in order to make measurable changes in any area of your life. It’s a great book that helps you to break the bonds to the outdated emotional and psychological pathways in the brain and create new ones for a better life.

This link will take you to a website where you can read reviews written by people who have read the book. Readers Reviews

Further listings on this page are a number of excellent books for you to look at. I will continue to add more items on a regular basis, so please check in here from time to time to see what is new.

The Human Givens collection  –  Below are 4 self-help books have all been written by Joe Griffin & Ivan Tyrrell who are the founders of the Human Givens (HG) approach to psychotherapy. Having done a large number of professional development work with HG and completed their Certificate of Training, I recommend these books for their simple, straight forward tried and tested approach to psychological and emotional wellness. The HG approach also prides itself on keeping pace with the most up to date scientific information and the authors are always happy to re-model their work accordingly, rather than sticking rigidly to outdated theories, so you can be sure that what you are reading is up to date. My clients find these books very easy to read and very helpful.  There are another 2 books by the same authors listed here because I believe that those of you who are interested in human psychology and the business of well being will find them very interesting.

Books that I (and others) have found very helpful and useful.
