Information about Anxiety
You have probably never though of anxiety as an ability. We all have the ability to become anxious from time to time. It is a natural human response and is part of our survival mechanism. Without the ability to feel anxious we would’nt be able to sense a potential threat and take action to keep us safe. (Fight/flight). Anxiety is also an inbuilt safety mechanism that prevents us from taking unnecessary risks.
You Don’t Have to Live with it
If left untreated, anxiety has a cumulative effect over time because stress hormones in the body can’t switch off. This leads to more intrusive conditions such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Phobias or Panic Attacks. When someone is experiencing anxiety in an intrusive or inappropriate way, it is time to seek help. Just one or two helpful sessions will show you how different you can feel.
Anxiety may be designed to be useful but in modern life many people are living with a constant sense of unease and uncertainty. Don’t allow anxiety issues to prevent you from living well. Talk to me about how I can help you.

I first visited Mary at an extremely stressful time in my life and was suffering severe anxiety and panic. Mary’s wisdom and therapeutic technique helped at the first visit and I now try to see her regularly to manage my stress through a difficult time. She is an excellent practitioner who really knows her stuff, and she is down-to-earth, easy to talk to and extremely compassionate. I cannot praise the work she does highly enough. CM – Brighton *
